Bright Lighting

Bright lighting makes all the difference. Try using a photo that was taken on a sunny day or in a well lit room. Using your flash can work too!
The Example photo is the perfect amount of lighting needed. if your photo is darker than this, do not worry we can brighten it up.

Getting your pup to sit or stand with their head in a clear up right position helps us out a great bunch! Not only do we see all your pups cuteness, there is no smushed cheeks or ears that look "funny".
Your pet doesn't have to be looking straight at the camera, that's all your preference. Sometimes a side pose looks regal AF. All we ask is try to have a the head of your pet free on all sides.

Get up close and personal
Getting up close to your pet allows us to get all those fine details that makes your pup yours. Try to be within 3-5 feet of your pup when taking a photo. Try to make sure the ears, snout, and any other key features are still visible and not cropped from being too close.
If there is a part of your pup that is cropped off in the photo, don't worry. We can often recreate it as long as there is about 60% available to reference.

Things you don't have to worry about
We got this.
Here are a few things you don't have worry about and can leave completely to us.
Removing Collars or Leashes
We remove just about all collars or harnesses in our artwork, unless there is an object that appears to be more significant to the pet, like a name tag or toy. In this case we will leave it unless you say otherwise.
Cropping the image
Don't worry about composition or cropping of the photo. Each of products has a unique set of guidelines and layouts, we'll be cropping and recomposing all photos and artwork.
Removing the Background
Don't worry about anything in the background of your photo. We remove it all and leave just the most important part, your pet! And don't worry about the unfolded laundry on the couch that pup is sitting on in the photo. We do it too.
